Refunds & Cancellation
Suds has not launched. We are not charging anyone yet. This is the policy that will apply from the day we start, published now so you can read it before you ever hand over a card — and so you can hold us to it afterwards.
The short version
- 14 days free before you pay anything.
- Your first paid month is refundable in full if you ask within 30 days of that charge.
- Cancel any time after that — no fee, no notice period, no letter to write.
The free trial
Your trial runs for 14 days, and the clock starts when your texting goes live — not the day you sign up. Getting a number approved to send business texts takes a few business days at the carriers, and losing half your trial to their queue would not be your fault.
You are not charged during the trial. Cancel before it ends and that is the end of it — nothing is billed, and you owe us nothing. If you do not cancel, the subscription begins at $49/mo when the trial finishes.
Your first paid month
If the first month you actually pay for turns out not to be right, email support@suds.pet within 30 days of that charge and we will refund it in full. You do not have to explain yourself, fill in a form, or sit through someone trying to talk you out of it.
This covers the first paid month. It is there because 14 days is one busy week in a grooming business, and sometimes you only find out in the second.
Cancelling, and what happens to the month you already paid for
You can cancel from inside your account at any time. There is no cancellation fee, no minimum term, no notice period, and no requirement to send us written notice.
When you cancel, your subscription runs to the end of the month you have already paid for, and then stops. You keep working normally until then rather than losing access the moment you click.
Beyond that first month, we do not refund part of a month already running. The texts sent during it have already gone out, and we have already paid the carriers to carry them.
Your phone number is yours. If you leave, you can take it with you.
Things we refund regardless
- Charges made in error, and duplicate charges.
- Charges after you cancelled — if we kept billing you, that is our mistake to undo.
- A month in which Suds failed to do its job. If the reminders did not go out, you should not be paying for a reminder service. Tell us what happened and we will make it right.
None of this is limited by any time window, and none of it removes rights you have under the consumer law where you live.
If we change the price
We will tell you at least 30 days before a price change affects you. If you do not want to pay the new price, cancel before it takes effect and you will never be charged it. We will not raise a price quietly and let the difference show up on your statement.
Who takes your payment
Paddle is the merchant of record for Suds subscriptions. That means Paddle — not us — processes the payment, is the seller on the transaction, and handles refunds and payment disputes. Their name, not ours, is what you will see on your card statement.
In practice this changes nothing about the policy above: email support@suds.pet and we arrange the refund. It is worth knowing for two reasons. Refunds are returned to the card you paid with, through Paddle, so they can take a few days to appear. And Paddle operates its own buyer terms, which sit alongside this policy rather than replacing it.
How to ask
Email support@suds.pet. Tell us which charge you mean; the date and the amount are enough. We aim to reply within one business day, and we will tell you what we are doing rather than leaving you waiting.
Suds is small enough that the person answering is the person who built the thing. See contact for who we are and where we are registered, and terms for the rest of the agreement.
Effective 2026-09-21.
